Hot Chocolate 5k/15k – November 3

( Disclosure: I’m a part of the Hot Chocolate Blogger Program. RAM racing gave me some sweet gear, an entry into the Hot Chocolate 15K and a small affiliate bonus based on sign-ups. As always, I only write about the classes, races and events that I love.)

The most delicious race in Chicago is approaching faster than you can say, “I need thermal running gear.” November 3,  the Hot Chocolate 5k/15K will give runners a reason to train into the fall months. AND sweetening the deal even more, take home a race shirt unlike any other, a zip-up thermal fleece. (and who doesn’t love a good race shirt?)

Bonus for runners with kiddos: With the race so close to Halloween, the expo will get extra family-friendly – booths will shower all munchkins who say “trick-or-treat” with candy.

Registration: Sign up here with the code FABFITMUG and you’ll get a free mug when you pick up your packet!  Pay $49 for the 5k through 10/16. After that, the price will go up to $54. Pay $68 for the 15k through 10/16. After that, the price will go up to $78.

When: November 3, 7:00 am and 7:45 am (there are two start times to keep the course running smoothly for everyone)

Where: The race starts at Grant Park (Monroe and Columbus) and the course is a nice little jaunt around the downtown area. I love a good traffic-free, downtown run.
