A workout with LifeFitness Synrgy360

[Disclosure: Life Fitness provided me with a free workout and some fitness swag. As always, I only write about the products and the classes that I love.]

Life Fitness pulled together some ladies from across the city to  work out with one of Life Fitness’s Personal Trainer to watch Melissa Dileonardo. Melissa took us through a circuit training workout on the Life Fitness Synrgy 360 – we used the XM size, which is the version that allows trainers like Melissa to use 8 training stations at once. Wowza.

This machine has everything you ever wished for in a gym in one compact space. If I were to start a gym … this machine could be the centerpiece. Just to give you a glimpse, it has battle ropes, TRX, kettle bells, a platform with adjustable height for step-ups or box jumps, chin-up bar, boxing bag and a cable station. We used all of those features and there was still more to explore.

I got to work out with Melissa, and meet some fab ladies from across the city who love fitness  – like Katy who writes Naneraday.com (and was on my team for Nike’s Winter Fit event) and my friend-league (combo of friend and colleague) Christiana.

Not only were we able to get in a tough workout in a compact space, we killed it for 90 minutes and I felt it the next day. That all could have been courtesy of Melissa, who had us going from kettle bell swings to dips to wood-choppers with a med-ball throw against a trampoline (not for jumping, for rebounding) all with high-intensity cardio in between .

As if things couldn’t get better, Christiana and I did a double-header workout a few weeks later with Melissa at Cheetah Gym in Edgewater: spinning + yoga = a perfect Friday night combination.

To bring the full body workout to even smaller space, LifeFitness sent the Body Shape Plus Kit, which is a dream for at-home fitness and Fiance already has his eyes on it.

The contents of the box were gasp-worthy. Just look at all of that stuff: resistance bands, a mad ball, a stability ball, weights, a mat, a foam roller and more! Big news. No, huge. If you check back on Thursday, you will have the chance to win your own Body Shape Plus Kit ($399 value).
