    Ellie Goulding has been inspiring women across the globe to be “fit, not skinny” by taking her talents to five half marathons. Ellie’s humble, hard-working attitude helps her as she trains for fitness and for performances. I’ve been obsessed/vowed to name a child after her since she appeared on The Voice and seemed genuinely and simultaneously surprised and thrilled to see how excited the audience was.

    Ellie isn’t just training to look good, she’s training to stay fit for performance.

    “I think my passion for exercise and my passion for performing on stage have started to intertwine slightly because I have to be fit to do all of the things I want to do on stage,” Goulding says. “Sports and music have a similar rush. But when I’m on stage, there’s no other feeling like it. It doesn’t come close to anything.”

    Just like us (at, Ellie appreciates a fitness routine filled with variety. Because when you’re always changing it up, you stay mentally connected to your workout and, well, anything can happen (Last one, I swear). She fits in her training for races as well as yoga and high intensity training. That kind of well-rounded training can help you to see results faster as well as keeping you injury-free.

    “I think having a yin and yang with exercise is the important thing for me. I love to do high intensity training, but I also love to take it easy. I say take it easy, but doing yoga is not easy,” Goulding laughs. “Doing something different every day keeps things fresh, exciting and interesting.”
