Seven “Nice” Cream Recipes to Try This Summer

This summer weather is absolutely perfect for some healthy nice cream. What exactly is nice cream? “Nice” cream is a clean, dairy free and vegan version of ice cream. It is a much healthier alternative to ice and cream and even better, it is a super easy recipe you can make with your little ones.

And while there are lots of nice cream recipe books or dessert makers out there, I have a much simpler process that I use.

First, I find 3-4 ripe bananas and I chop them up and freeze them overnight. Next, I mix the banana’s, ¼ milk of your choice and other ingredients (I will elaborate my favorite recipes below) in a blender. Lastly, you can pour into a bowl and enjoy or you can place the mixture into the freezer for two hours to create a more frozen consistency.

If you choose to put the nice cream back in the freezer, you can pick up an inexpensive container on Amazon like this one.

So what are my favorite nice cream combos? Here are seven recipes for you to enjoy!

Peanut Butter + Banana Nice Cream

Mix 2-3 frozen bananas, ½ cup peanut butter, ¼ cup coconut milk, and 1 Tbsp. maple syrup.

Cacao Nice Cream

Mix 2-3 frozen bananas, 3 tsp. of cacao powder, and ¼ cup coconut milk.

Matcha Nice Cream

Mix 2-3 frozen bananas, ¼ cup almond milk, ½ Tbsp. matcha powder, and 1 tsp. agave.

Very Berry Nice Cream

Mix 2-3 frozen bananas, ¼ cup almond milk, ¼ cup strawberries, and ¼ cup blueberries.

Mint Chocolate Chip Nice Cream

Mix 2-3 frozen bananas, ¼ cup almond milk, 1/8 tsp. peppermint, and a pinch of spirulina for color. After completely blending, add in some cacao nibs.

Strawberry + Banana Nice Cream

Mix 2-3 frozen bananas, ¼ cup almond milk, 1 tsp. coconut sugar, and 1/4 cup strawberries.

Mango + Macadamia Nice Cream

I totally found this recipe from Kayla Itsines. It’s SO GOOD I had to share it. Mix 2 frozen bananas, ½ cup frozen mango, ½ cup coconut milk, 1 Tbsp. maple syrup, and 6 macadamia nuts chopped.
