To many people, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is something like a national holiday, with two weeks of amazing sales and discounts on items that you’d normally have to pay full price for. This year, take advantage of the sale by refreshing your fitness wardrobe with basics and statement pieces to take you through fall, winter and beyond. Here are our top six activewear items to shop at the #NSale.
A statement sports bra
Get the confidence to go shirtless in hot yoga with one of these statement sports bras. Try this strappy number from Nike for low-impact workouts, or the Zella Impulse sports bra for more high-impact activities.
Not-so-basic black leggings
Reading between the lines of the #NSale, black leggings with mesh accents are not going anywhere this fall. Our favorite picks? Zella’s Pearl High Waist Laminate Crop Leggings and Reebok’s Dance Mesh Leggings. Of course, if you’re looking for plain black leggings and nothing further, you can’t beat Zella’s Live-In Leggings or Nike’s Legendary High-Rise Capris.
Studio-to-street outerwear
Winter is coming, and in Chicago at least, that means being prepared for going from a boiling, sweaty spin studio to sub-zero temperatures. Keep your core warm by layering with Reebok’s Quilted Crew Sweatshirt underneath this funky bomber jacket from Zella.
In the fall when the weather is still on the warmer side, show off your street style with this lustrous bomber jacket from Reebok. Add these sunglasses to complete your look.
Need something more heavy-duty? This parka from The North Face is your ally against the polar vortex.
Classic, wear-them-daily tanks
You run through workout tanks on a daily basis, so stock up on the basics when they’re priced this low. We love Reebok’s muscle tank (especially in the millennial pink color, obviously) and this retro relaxed fit tank from Adidas.
Run-around shoes
Even if you’re not a runner (or if you run in a very specific pair of shoes), stocking up on an extra pair or two when they’re on sale is never a bad idea. You’ll use them for everything from your daily commute to slipping into after barre class. Nike’s LunarEpic Low Flyknit 2 Running Shoe has a sock-like fit for ultimate comfort, and the Free Run Distance 2 Running Shoe has a soft responsiveness and hexagonally-patterned sole for a natural stride. Want something strictly for errands? The Adidas Gazelle sneakers are the neutral it-shoe of the season. (Psst … don’t forget socks!)
Locker room lifesavers
We’ve waxed poetic about the power of dry shampoo and time-saving hair hacks, so take us at our word and grab this set of Drybar dry shampoo. This will help you transform your ponytail into voluminous, clean-looking hair and it smells as good as a Drybar blowout.
You have through August 6 to make your move at the #Nsale. Prices increase August 7.
