If you’re avoiding the changing seasons, we’ve got some cold hard facts for you. Fall is here and there’s nothing you can do about it. Chicago can expect a layered welcome to the colder months at the Fleet Feet Sports fashion show November 7.
Ever the embracer of all the elements, the brand is working to show you the looks that will update your active wardrobe and keep you running all winter long – or maybe the looks will just keep you cozy – you’ll have to decide that for yourself. While they’re chugging along and preparing for the show, we stopped by to sneak a peek of the looks you may catch as the models strut at Second City.
The trick to winter running is layers, so as we popped into the Old Town store, we started grabbing hats, gloves and a variety of different pieces to keep all extremities warm.
We pulled a look for the ladies and one for the gents.
From Nike Women, we snagged the Nike Aeroloft Running Vest, a warm layering piece with reflective elements as well as breathability. Paired with it, we featured the Nike DriFit Knit Longsleeve, the Nike Power Epic Lux tight and the Nike Free RN Flyknit shoe.
For guys, we fell deeply in love with a brand that can be best described as track-uniform-meets-man-athleisure. Meet Tracksmith, a brand that’s so new to Fleet Feet’s floor that it’s not even online yet. We pulled together the Brighton Base Layer long-sleeve (as soft as it looks) with a namesake tee, the Longfellow short (which could do double-duty as your go-to summer short) and the New Balance Vazee Rush shoe.
After the show, if you’re inspired to create your own chilly weather look, you can head down to the Old Town Fleet Feet store for an exclusive shopping experience. Will we see you there?
When is it? November 7, doors open at 7 pm. After the show, all attendees will be invited down to Fleet Feet Sports to shop and you’ll leave with a goody bag. We love a goody bag.
Where is it? Above Fleet Feet Sports on the Second City stage.
