Keep the Grill Fired Up: Embrace Fall with Amylu Foods

As year-round grillers, It was important to my Minnesota family to clear the snow with a path to the grill.
And while I know that the forecast doesn’t call for the frozen stuff to fall from the sky yet, I do know that you don’t have to pack up your grill tools just because Autumn flavors have dropped at your favorite coffee shop.
We’re sending kids back to school and watching the leaves turn with easy weeknight meals that keep Amylu Foods’ delicious chicken sausages and burgers at their core. This Chicago-based brand, with a legacy of 100 years, has been crafting incredible flavors that are perfect for a fall cookout.
You can incorporate these fully-cooked, flavorful sausages and burgers into your favorite pasta, as a protein-packed element for your salad, or as a healthier option for a tailgate.
As you embark on grilling for fall, let’s keep it flavorful with these tips.
Step 1: pick a fan favorite.
We’ve been living on Amylu Foods products all summer and we can’t see that slowing down any time soon. Here’s what a few Ambassadors had to say.
“I love the simple ingredient list. I normally never make chicken burgers – just turkey or beef – but this is great to have in the rotation. I feel healthier eating chicken plus the variety I tried (gouda + caramelized onion) had a lot of flavor so the burger was not dry.” – Sharonda
“I loved these burgers! I’m already a big fan of AmyLu sausages and these were just as flavorful. Great texture and bold flavors, loved them.” -Melissa Klauda
“Delicious! And I can’t eat dairy or soy, so it was great to have an option that was allergen free and still tasted great!” – Dani
Step 2: Always clean your grill.
The New York Times Wirecutter has a multistep process for grill care that I would recommend spending a little time with. If you’re using a shared grill or you’ve already done your regular deep clean, just let your grill heat up and give it a good scrape with a wire brush. You can follow that up with some warm soapy water on a grill sponge. Keep your face back as you’re cleaning with water: heat + water = steam.
Step 3: always cook to the appropriate internal temperature
When you’re cooking Amylu Foods products you won’t need to fuss over temperature because they’re already fully cooked and safe to eat. We love having one less thing to worry about on a weeknight.
If you’re grilling any other meat products, make sure you have a meat thermometer in your toolkit as well as consulting a safe temperature cook guide.
Step 4: Have a plan for a balanced meal
We love those caramelized grill marks on a delicious, flame kissed dinner. And what goes better with your freshly grilled Amylu Foods sausages and chicken burgers than grilled veggies? My summer favorite is a grilled romaine salad. It’s so simple and elevated. Try these directions, topping with Amylu Foods Chicken Sausages and dress with a favorite caesar dressing (mine is Primal Kitchen).
While that salad is timeless, you can also grab fall veggies at the Farmers’ Market or grocery store and make those a part of your grilling experience as well. Look for sweet potatoes, Delicata Squash, and eggplant. Try cubing veggies and grilling them in foil alongside your Amylu Foods burgers or sausages.
Here’s to keeping the outdoor cooking vibes alive with Amylu Foods’ delectable chicken products and follow these food safety tips for a successful grilling season. Cheers to delicious fall cookouts and a safe grilling experience!
