Support aSweatLife’s Kickstarter to Empower More Women Through Goals

At aSweatLife, we’ve come to count on our community to empower each other, to lift each other up and to set big goals. And we know many of you count on us too – to create experiences and community to help you live your best lives.

So if you’ve ever benefitted from content we create, the community we built or the IRL hugs we dole out, we’re asking you to contribute to this community’s kickstarter campaign before it ends at 11:59 pm April 9.

And it’s not a coincidence that we launched this Kickstarter on International Women’s Day – this program largely benefits women, who say – sometimes for the very first time – what they really, really want and then start to chase it.

And as you read on to the rewards, you’ll see that it’s a serious no-brainer to support this.

Why are we doing a Kickstarter?

Thanks for asking!

We’re raising money to power the expansion of the aSweatLife ambassador program to women around the country. This program empowers individuals (primarily women) to set big goals, to say them aloud, to hold each other accountable and to view each other as collaborators, not competitors.

We launched the ambassadorship a year and a half ago to solidify our strongest relationships with our readers. We opened the application by asking applicants what it would take for them to live their best lives and, with their answers, we created and tested a program. Over 2017, this group set and accomplished incredible goals, from publishing a book to starting a family to moving into the C-suite to competing in an IRONMAN. Not a single member of the group set a goal that had to do with weight loss.

When we opened up applications for our 2018 program, we received hundreds of applications from readers who took hours of their time to make their case to make it into the 25 spots in the program.

We had to turn away more than 150 people and we never want to do that again.

We want to open up the boundaries of this program to allow more people to experience the power of a network of support and the magic that happens when you say your big, hairy, audacious goals aloud.

We want wellness for women to be more meaningful, to power big goals and to support whatever they’re doing outside of the gym. We want the voices in wellness to represent women who use wellness to feel good, to manage stress, to accomplish big goals – and we believe we’re positioned to be that voice.

What will you get for contributing?

We’re creating special experiences and swag for all who contribute – That’s right, VIP #Sweatworking. Read: for a contribution that’s the same as the price of a #Sweatworking event or two, you can help us create a community that makes such a difference.
