[Listen] How to Ease Into Your Workouts (Or Not)

Welcome to the Daily Distance, a new daily series from the creators of #WeGotGoals. In these short episodes, we’re bringing you one daily goal you can set for yourself during this chaotic time- one actionable thing you can do to move your body, connect with a friend, prioritize your mental health, get some work done, and practice a little bit of self-care.

It’s a familiar voice on the airwaves today—Maggie Umberger is on the other line, sharing her wisdom and good vibes with us. Although she was in training for a (now cancelled) triathlon in Miami this month, she decided to take the sign from the universe to ease out of intense training. Now, she’s beginning her workouts with a few minutes of stretching to tune into her body and let it wake up gently. And, if after those few minutes, she’s not feeling the workout, Maggie’s not forcing it and is instead being grateful to herself for that little stretch on its own.
