Why Good Foods Chunky Guac is the Must-Buy of Summer

I remember the first time I made homemade guacamole for someone – it was an editor at the newspaper that I called home in college. I did not have a crush on him, but in hindsight, I can see why his girlfriend was not appreciative of the gesture.
For me, sharing good food signals my friendship. But sharing recommendations? That’s my love language. What’s the best fitness studio I’ve tried in a given city? I’ll make you a Google Doc – or send you 20 texts in a row with my rapid-fire thoughts. Wondering which gluten-free bread holds up to being toasted and is actually sandwich-sized? How much time do you have to peruse the freezer aisle with me?
And recently, after living on Good Foods plant-based dips and guacamole, I’ve taken to sharing that recommendation so readily that my husband is tired of hearing it (but not tired of it showing up in our fridge). I’m obsessed with the Dill Pickle Chip Dip – I put it on salad as a dressing (hot tip). I can’t live without the Nacho Cheeze Style Chip Dip, which is free of the top-9 major allergens (including dairy!).
But what I’m really stuck on is the impossibly delicious, insanely fresh, Good Foods Chunky Guacamole. The best part: I don’t have to make it and I can just tell you where to buy it. (Seriously, here are all of the places to buy it.)
A group of aSweatLife Ambassadors tried it with me too, and it absolutely passed the vibe check. Here’s what we thought:
“It’s the best packaged guac we’ve ever had”
I can’t stress this enough: I was prepared to feel fine about this guac. Neither good, nor bad – fine. But it was love at first bite. The flavor was just limey enough, and the avocados didn’t taste like they’d been preserved. It was a struggle to put the lid back on to save some for later. Since that fateful first bite, I have purchased a tub a week at Target with my own money.
And I’m not the only one in love with this green treasure. Ambassadors love it too.
“It was the best packaged guac I’ve had, not too spicy and very flavorful. I loved every bite.” – Adrianne
“The taste was incredible and the price was right! This was by far the best tasting packaged guac I’ve ever had!” – Caroline
“The texture is better than any pre-packaged guac I’ve ever had. It made it taste like I’d made it myself” – Steph
“I loved the taste! It’s often hard to find guac that has a good texture and flavor but this checks both boxes”. – Katheryn
“It stays fresh”
Staying fresh seems impossible for a limited-ingredient, store bought guac, but I can attest that the guacamole’s freshness will outlast you. (Aka, you’ll eat it all before it loses freshness). It’s not by chance, either. Good Foods uses a groundbreaking technology called High Pressure Processing (HPP). If a science lesson sounds boring to you, don’t click on this link, but all you need to know is that the company invests in keeping your food fresh and full of its natural nutritional benefits.
Here’s what Ambassadors said:
“I loved the packaging – easy to open but sturdy enough to bring to a picnic. Texture was fantastic and it stayed fresh for a long time!” -Sarah
“I usually don’t buy pre-made guacamole, but this tasted way more like the natural guac I make at home and didn’t get gross and brown super fast like ones I’ve had in the past.” – Lindsay
“I put this on everything!”
Imagine the freedom to create luxury scrambled eggs by adding a dollop of guac. Picture the heights to which you’ll take your lunch bowl with an avocado-y add on. And because it’s already in your fridge, it’s not extra (that’s meal-prep math).
The fact that I waited this long to make a “guac is extra” joke shows a lot of restraint, to be honest.
Here’s what Ambassadors said:
“The packaging is super cute and easy to find … The taste was DELICIOUS – I added it to my mexican-style bowl, and the ingredients were AMAZING – no BS.” -Jordan
“I loved it! Refreshing and great quality. Used to make avocado toast and to enjoy with chips. Already purchased again.” -Susan
“So yummy! I love their guac. Great for literally everything. I put it on all of my food” – Becca
