8 Delicious Dishes to Bring to Friendsgiving
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and I especially look forward to Friendsgiving every single year. Traditionally, my friends have gathered the second weekend of November around a table full of turkey and sides, followed by a bonfire outside.
We’ve been doing this for years — and even though we now have kids and it looks a little different than it used to, it’s still so much fun. For instance, my oldest daughter and I now cook and prepare for Friendsgiving together. Here are some of our favorite recipes that we’re considering bringing to Friendsgiving this year.

- Apple crisp by Rachael’s Good Eats: This apple crisp recipe is dairy-free, gluten-free, and made with whole-food ingredients. Apple crisp is such a classic that everyone is bound to enjoy it.
- Peanut butter pumpkin pie by Rachel Mansfield: This recipe is grain-free and is one of those easy, no-bake recipes. Rachel breaks it down so you can make it in 10 minutes (sits for two hours) flat.
- Holiday arugula salad with apples, cranberries, pecans, and balsamic dressing by Julia’s Album: This six-ingredient salad pairs so well with turkey, it’ll definitely be a hit among friends.
- Nutrient-rich honey cornbread by Our Salty Kitchen: This Thanksgiving staple has no refined sugar and uses heart-healthy olive oil and probiotic-rich Greek yogurt.
- Bacon-wrapped dates with goat cheese by Sugar Maple Farmhouse: These are hands-down my favorite appetizers ever ever ever! These ingredients might sound like an odd pairing, but the savory-sweet combo is so good.
- Blackberry cranberry sauce by Love & Olive Oil: This unique version of cranberry sauce is so delicious and will have everyone reaching for seconds.
- Sweet potato au gratin by Carolina Gelen: I’m definitely volunteering to make this au gratin recipe for this year’s festivities. Just seven ingredients and 30 minutes of prep time.
- Cabernet sauvignon by Scout & Cellar: Okay, this one isn’t exactly a recipe — but who doesn’t love a good wine with their meal? This option is a clean-crafted wine, meaning it’s made with grapes grown without pesticides, sulfites, or artificial processing aids. So, you may experience less of a hangover with this one.
Happy Friendsgiving!
