Sylvie is a medical writer and editor hailing from the great state of Michigan. She made the move to Chicago in 2013 after graduating from Miami University—the one in Ohio— with a degree in English literature. Unsure of what she wanted to do career-wise, an internship at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago illuminated her passion for healthcare and inspired her decision to earn a master’s degree in Health Communication from DePaul University. While in school, she found indoor cycling (team Flywheel) as a way to de-stress, and considers it her favorite workout. In addition to writing, reading, and spinning, she’s a lover of all things food-related (balance!) and can usually be found in the kitchen or at one of Chicago’s many restaurants.
