Start Your Day with Joy: Lil Bucks Snacks for a Healthy and Crunchy Breakfast

I’m a child of the ‘80s who was denied precious cable TV until I went to college. This translates into a vast awareness – ney, respect – for the genre “infomercial.” There’s a specific type of infomercial introduction that I’m fond of: everything is gray, awful, and boring.

Picture it with me: there’s a human who looks very much like you – except in grayscale – sitting at a breakfast table, attempting to eat a banana, but the peel malfunctions for reasons that are never explained. She takes a bite of her boring yogurt, makes a sour face, and pushes her bowl away. She crosses her arms in dismay and disappointment.

“THERE’S GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!” you hear somewhere in the background. Cut to you in color, eating your same yogurt with flavorful, crunchy toppings. Your banana peels as expected.

That’s how I feel eating Clusterbucks Superfood Granola Clusters (except, I am mostly aware that I’m not living in an infomercial, much to my dismay). I have a touchy tummy, colon troubles and I can’t have a lot of crunchy snacks. I CAN have Lil Bucks.

And until recently, my breakfasts were boring, boring, boring. What my morning was missing was a little flavor and a lot of joy that I found in adding back in texture in the form of Lil Bucks Clusterbucks (I’ve been seriously obsessed since our last Sweatworking Week partnership).

What are Lil Bucks?

Lil Bucks creates snacks and superfood toppers made from sprouted buckwheat, which is actually a fruit seed, not a grain! The seeds are not only addictively crunchy, but packed with complete amino acid plant-based protein and prebiotic fiber. They’re gluten-free, grain-free, and Paleo-friendly.

The founder, Emily, became obsessed with sprouted buckwheat after enjoying a “life-changing” açaí bowl in Australia, where the cafe topped the bowl with crunchy sprouted buckwheat seeds instead of the typical sugary granola. After falling in love with the crunch and how sprouted buckwheat made her feel, Emily knew she had to spread the love of buckwheat in the USA.

Now, the planet-friendly company makes sprouted buckwheat its business. They launched in 2018 with their first line Lil Bucks Sprouted Buckwheat Crunch, superfood toppers often used on smoothie bowls, yogurt, oatmeal, salads, toast, and hey, even ice cream. For an on-the-go option, they launched Clusterbucks Superfood Granola Bites, and stepped over to the savory side with a “SZN-ing”, which is basically an “everything but the bagel” seasoning, but crunchy and made with superfoods.

Where does the joy come in at breakfast?

Lil Bucks snacks can transform your morning meal into a joyful experience, adding a satisfying crunch and a delicious flavor to your breakfast creations.

Lil Bucks snacks are available in various flavors, and two new flavors, “birthday cake” and “bucks and honey,” will be featured at aSweatLife’s Sweatworking Week events from June 12-17. These new flavors are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth who wants to add a joyful twist to their breakfast.

Try adding them to your favorite yogurt, smoothie bowl, or oatmeal recipe. You can also use them as a topping for your pancakes or waffles. Get creative and experiment with different flavors and combinations to find your favorite way to enjoy Lil Bucks snacks.
