Exclusive Fitness perks for aSweatLife Ambassadors!

Founder and CEO, Jeana Anderson Cohen, started aSweatLife in July of 2012 because she was bored senseless with her fitness routine. She went looking for joy in the emerging trend of boutique fitness. To hold herself accountable, she committed to writing about one new workout a week she loved on aSweatLife.com. People started reading, asking to try workouts together, and quickly she realized that while the workouts were great, what was really missing from her life was community.

Everything that aSweatLife built after that was in pursuit of making fitness, friendship and fun more accessible – and that is why we say “Everything is Better with Friends.”

What fitness perks will I receive as an Ambassador?

Studio of the Month

Our signature Studio of the Month program allows our nation-wide Ambassadors to have exclusive access to an in-person or digital studio on a monthly basis. With these monthlong partnerships, Ambassadors get a chance to do two things we’re passionate about: try something new, and make a new friend.

How it works: Every month a different studio offers a specific package for Ambassadors to experience their studio (in person and/or digitally). aSweatLife also facilitates opportunities for Ambassador group workouts at the Studio of the Month, so Ambassadors can connect in-person.

We’ve partnered with more than 80 studios over the past several years and are continuing to try new studios all across the country.

Straight from an Ambassador: “I fell in love with P.Volve because it was a studio of the month! It was amazing!! This type of workout has been amazing for me! I took advantage of the virtual studio classes. I loved that they were live classes not recorded. They also offered classes at great times throughout the day.” – Jax Turyna Fetters

Goal For It

This unique program is developed with experts to provide Ambassadors an opportunity to set goals, learn new skills – all as a community.

This program is something new we tested in 2022 and it was a huge success – you will see this type of programming continued to be baked into the Ambassador program. This past year we took 16 Chicago Ambassadors through an 8-week swimming program and more than 100 Ambassadors nationwide took on a 6-week 5K running program.

Straight from an Ambassador about #GoalForit Running: “I really liked that it was an accessible program – there were in person and virtual options, options for different levels of fitness and goals, and even options for those who don’t want to run to do strength … Overall, loved the program!”

aSweatLife’s signature fitness events

We started #Sweatworking in March 2014 with a simple idea: we wanted to connect a community to the workouts that we loved. And since our first event, we’ve kept on introducing people to each other and new workouts. We partner with gyms to create unique experiences to get you out of your routine to try new things. #Sweatworking is part workout, part party, part networking. Ambassadors play a huge role in our most anticipated fitness events – they help with program creation, studio suggestions. They also get VIP access and discounted tickets.

Straight from an Ambassador: “Ever since trying a class with my friend at The Garage Chicago during #SweatworkingWeek, I’m officially hooked. It’s now my #weddingprep and weekly ass kicking. :)” – Rachel Schultz

Group Fitness Meetups

We know two things for sure: stepping into your first class somewhere new is intimidating and making friends as an adult is hard. Ambassadors have the opportunity to meet up at least once a month to try out a new class, wellness service or experience together. We have regularly-scheduled monthly meet ups through the Studio of the Month program as well as pop up experiences that take place throughout the year.

Straight from an Ambassador: “My first ever aSweatLife event was also my first spin class at Soul Cycle. At the time, Soul Cycle was all-the-rage and kind of intimidating. Since, I had no idea what to expect with aSweatLife, but knew it was a group of like-minded people out to make new friends, … It took the pressure off my first Soul Cycle class. It was fun! Really fun! I was hooked on aSweatLife from that moment on! Friends + new fitness experiences in a low pressure setting = awesome.” – Mariah Boyd

About Kelly Matkovich

Kelly fell in love with the aSweatLife family when she became an ambassador in 2016. Through goal-setting and the exposure to trying new things, she made some pretty big career goals for herself. In 2017, she quit her full time job as a Director of Meetings and events for a Women’s Cancer Association to pursue the crazy world of entrepreneurship/contract work/working multiple jobs and a career in fitness. During this time, she got her NASM personal training certificate and became a group fitness instructor while also earning certifications in yoga sculpt and health coaching. She traveled around the world executing large conferences and started a wellness events company within the hospitality industry. Through this very exciting but very bumpy new career path, she always had aSweatLife ambassadors there to support her along the way. Now, as the Senior Director of Communities, her focus is to grow with this amazing group of ambassadors and inspire them to reach their BHAGS through uniquely crafted experiences, events and community.
