#sweatworkingweek

We’re so excited to be hosting our eighth #SweatworkingWeek at Maggie Daley Park from July 20 through July 24. We’ve got the full schedule and answers to all your questions below!

Click here to learn more about our safety policies and procedures created in collaboration with Maggie Daley Park.

Welcome to Camp #SweatworkingWeek.

Grab your knapsack, your bandana, and your bug spray—we’re taking on this week summer camp style. We’re feeling inspired and excited by the thought of being outdoors, with our best friends (that’s you guys), and embracing the childhood joy of simpler times.

What to bring to your workouts

To best comply with the city’s safety procedures, we’re asking that everyone come to the workout with the following:

  • Your face mask (please arrive wearing your face mask)
  • A yoga mat (and any sweat towels you might want)
  • Your own hydration
  • Anything else you want for an outdoor workout, like sunscreen, a hat, or your own disinfectant wipes!

If you do not arrive with a face mask, we reserve the right to turn you away for the safety of others.

6pm: Through the Body, POMSQUAD, and F45 Team Up for a Three-Part Workout

Get your ticket here!

We’re bringing together three very different workouts this evening to create the ultimate workout mashup.

Through the Body’s signature strength training class, TTB Core, focuses on using your own body weight mixed with a variety of props to create long, lean muscles by incorporating small isometric movements- targeting a whole body burn. Centered around core strength, balance and flexibility, as well as incorporating the mind-body connection; this class will give you the strength and control of a dancer.

POMSQUAD™ is a super fun, immensely positive, high impact dance fitness class! Shake your poms while prancing, dancing, bending, and snapping to today’s hits and yesterday’s favorites.  Inclusive, encouraging, and easy to follow classes are designed to maximize caloric burn while strengthening and toning muscles.  Featuring a variety of dance styles and unique choreography, there is something for every type of spirit leader in each and every class.

F45 will lead you through resistance training, an essential for building both muscle mass and bone density. Our strength training sessions use functional movement patterns to help our members to increase their muscle mass, and in turn, burn more calories every day, even at rest. Each resistance workout is designed to target power and stabilization for a solid base of functional strength, resulting in stronger, leaner, more defined muscles.

8am: Crosstown Fitness and Y7 Studio

Get your ticket here!

End your week strong and focus on the rhythm of your movement in this mashup workout between Crosstown Fitness and Y7 Studio.

Crosstown Fitness is known for their high-intensity, cardio and strength training classes, and this outdoor workout will be no exception. Their trainers design each class to include interval cardiovascular routines, mobility and strength training. Open to all fitness levels, this class puts first-timers and fitness diehards side by side to make progress at their own level, together in one community.

Once Y7’s beats start bumping, you’ll take on a compact format of the signature WeFlowHard® Vinyasa Flow, open to all levels. The practice includes an extended warm up followed by two vinyasa flows repeated three times each. The first time through the sequence, the instructor will break down the alignment in each posture. The second time through, you will repeat the same sequence and speed things up linking one-breath to one-movement. Finally, you will have the opportunity to take that sequence on your own during our signature “Flow On Your Own” portion of class. Add in challenges and modifications, or take out postures that don’t serve you. We flow hard.

Big news: We’re moving to a pay-what-you-can model.

As a result of the raw conversations we’ve been hosting in our Race in Wellness series, we’ve realized that we can make a major difference in the fitness community by making our events financially accessible to anyone who wants to attend.

That’s why we’re using #SweatworkingWeek to launch a new pay-what-you-can model.

In the past, tickets to #SweatworkingWeek events have been priced at $20. If you can afford to pay that and you’re willing to, man, we really appreciate it. If $20 isn’t in your budget right now and you can only afford to pay $5, $10, $15—we get it, and we’re even MORE excited for you to show up, especially if this is your first event with us.

(And of course, if you want to pay more than $20 to help offset the cost of another attendee, that’s an option as well.)
