Every month, as we plan #Sweatworking, we look for a studio that showcases what we love about fitness in Chicago: a schedule with plenty of variety and a welcoming fitness community.
August’s event takes us to a fitness studio that totally encompasses all of that: ENRGi Fitness in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
And so, August 20, #Sweatworking will take over the gym that boasts a huge variety of class formats at an incredible frequency with fun instructors from a wide variety of backgrounds.
We’ll work out together using the enormity of the studio’s space (4 total studio spaces and a rooftop deck) and, weather permitting, you may even get in a nice stretch on the rooftop. The class will follow the “Warrior Conditioning” format. Sounds tough, but no matter your fitness level the class can be scaled to you.
ENRGi describes the class as a “50 minute, full body, circuit style workout will test the limit of your strength, endurance, balance, agility, and will power. You’ll be put through a strength circuit utilizing weights, battle ropes, sandbags, medicine balls, kettlebells and more. Then you’ll head upstairs to melt the fat with a cardio circuit incorporating treadmills, stationary bikes, rowers, and stairs!” Read: We’ll be using a lot of fun props.
As always, we’ll grab snacks together afterwards as a reward for our hard work.
