New Moon Jam + Beach Yoga

New Moon Jam is back!

This Wednesday May 31 let the drumming sounds unite spinners, dancers, musicians, and all who hear the call.

This is the first event of the season so let’s take all that winter fire and blast it across the cosmos. These jams are natural acts of co-creation to energize, elevate, and build community as inspiration takes us.

We gather close to the lake to enjoy the mood of the water. So wade in for a swim or build a land of sandcastles. Have collaboration ideas? Feel free to share! (I hear rumors of a neon-light robot 😉 )

Good news!

Beach Yoga Chicago will be holding a FREE yoga class which will lead into the drum circle. Class will be from 7- 8pm. Indigo Monae will lead the class. Let’s breathe, move, drum & dance together under the beautiful new moon rising over the Lake. Visit here : for more info.

From Beach Yoga Chicago:
New moons are not to be wasted! Join us as we welcome this very important new moon in Gemini. All activities, mental and physical, that were launched or set in motion on or close to the exact time of the new moon will be strengthened and moved forward by the waxing energy of the moon moving towards the climax, or fruition of the full moon. Let’s set our intentions and root them into the earth, see you on the sand May 24! We have a limited number of yoga mats so please bring your mat or blanket if you can : )

Thanks everyone! A lot more to come, including from the Dog Beach Drummers, IN THE NOW SESSIONS (stay tuned) and hopefully more throughout the season!

See you soon!

* This is not a “FMJ event” = NO FIRE.
* Family friendly
*Leave no trace – no bottles etc!

*This is not organized by the Full Moon Fire Jam and is not at their Foster soccer field location. No Fire performances are allowed which require a city permit.

About Dani Kruger

As a proud New Englander at heart, Dani loves the outdoors and anything maple-flavored. After a decade in the Midwest, she moved to Seattle where she loves the mild temperatures and mountain views. Dani's competitive nature is no secret, whether she's trying to do yoga at all of the state capitol buildings (23 so far!) or seeing how much vertical she can run each month in the mountains of the PNW. By day, she nerds out behind the computer as a data analyst for a health care consulting firm, where she works to ensure all individuals have timely access to high quality health care services.
