Move. Take a fitness class courtesy of Equinox. Practice mindfulness. Play lawn games. Groove to the music. Eat. Tasty nosh all day from Haymarket, featuring Pre Brands Beef. Give. Everything you do at Move Eat Give supports cooking and nutrition education for underserved youth.
Get ready for an end-of-summer wellness bash brought to you by Pre Brands. We’ll MOVE, EAT and GIVE to strengthen our bodies, minds and community, all while taking advantage of the remaining warmer days in Chicago.
At Pre, we believe wellness is holistic. Choosing nutrient-dense, whole foods is a critical piece, so we provide great tasting beef that’s also better for you. We also empower people in the kitchen through delicious recipes and culinary workshops and support fitness and mindfulness in the community. That’s why we’re bringing people together on the first day of fall to raise funds for our nonprofit partner Common Threads, an organization that provides cooking and nutrition education to underserved urban youth through free afterschool programs for students and parents. The Pre team volunteers with Common Threads and donates annually, but this year, we’re getting YOU involved.
Come for a class or stay all day. Admission is free, but funds raised from fitness classes, food, raffle tickets and donations go to Common Threads. The event is family friendly, so everyone is welcome!
Special thanks to all event partners including lululemon, Equinox, Haymarket Brewery, Itsapop and the Box Shops.

What is Common Threads?
Founded in 2003 in Chicago, Common Threads was created to bring health and wellness to children, families and communities through cooking and nutrition education. By integrating preventative health programs into school districts and community organizations, Common Threads not only helps combat the rising number of diet-related diseases, but also cultivates a culture that embraces a healthier lifestyle and celebrates diversity through food. The organization envisions a community of learners that embraces healthy cooking, healthy eating and healthy living as both a life choice and a human right.
Is this free?
Yes! Admission is free, but funds raised from fitness classes, food, raffle tickets and donations go to Common Threads.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
By car: The Box Shops are located near the south-east corner of Halsted St and Randolph St between Haymarket Brewery and the highway. There is limited pay-to-park on Halsted, so we recommend taking a cab or ride share.
By public transit: We are about an 8-minute walk from the Morgan Green Line ‘L’ Station.
What can I bring to the event?
If you sign up for a class, you will be provided with a yoga mat, towel, and water. Bring cash to for raffle tickets and cash/credit card for food and drinks. Bring the family! This is an all-ages-welcome affair.
