    About Joga:

Joga is a hybrid of biomechanics of athletic movements – how an athlete trains and moves – combined with breathing and relaxation.

Joga movements flow into bench mark postures to find equilibrium of strength and flexibility. The focus is to enhance our understanding of body mechanics, while moving within the body’s limitations and expanding total awareness of body intelligence.

    Benefits of Joga:

Movements and postures are built with the intelligence of the kinetic chain. Specific queues are given to re-align the body’s symmetry which helps prevent injury, improve movement efficiency and maximize performance. Unique breathing techniques increase core functionality increasing range of motion, agility and performance. These breathing techniques also balance left and right brain function.

When the mind is balanced, the body is balanced – allowing for better mental focus and better sleep patterns. Joga challenges the physical body while teaching the mind to be calm and non-reactive. When we achieve relaxation response, body intelligence is maximized and all systems of the body work more efficiently.

    About Dani Kruger

As a proud New Englander at heart, Dani loves the outdoors and anything maple-flavored. After graduating from the University of Michigan and living for a brief time in DC, she moved to Chicago where she developed a passion for fitness and biking. Dani's competitive nature is no secret, whether she's trying to do yoga at all of the state capitol buildings (19 so far!) or seeing how far she can push herself in group fitness classes. By day, she nerds out behind the computer as a researcher and data analyst for a health care consulting firm, where she works to ensure all individuals have timely access to high quality health care services.
