Are you S-cited (i.e. scared and excited) about your first marathon?

Join lululemon Halsted and Marathon Whisperer, Coach Denise as we help make your first dance with 26.2 scare-free.

The night starts with a 2.62 mile fun run, followed by Coach Denise’s tips and tricks. Where she gets ’em? From running 82+ marathons and coaching hundreds to their first (and fastest) marathons. There will also be a panel of second time marathon runners to share their experiences from mile 0 to mile 26.2.

Following the panel, we’ll be hosting fit sessions to get you in gear that helps crush your goals.

PS: This isn’t just for first-timers. Show some pride + wear your race shirt and medal if you ran last year.

About Coach Denise: Denise Sauriol ran her first marathon back in 1994. Like most first timers she was excited about what lied ahead but also scared about all of the unknowns. Fast forward to this October, Coach Denise, aka Marathon Whisperer will be running her 23rd Chicago Marathoner with one of her first timers and has completed over 80 marathons. She has been coaching runners of all abilities and ages since 2010. Last summer she left Corporate America to become a full time running coach. That was another unknown that she approaches Scited! About Dani Kruger

As a proud New Englander at heart, Dani loves the outdoors and anything maple-flavored. After graduating from the University of Michigan and living for a brief time in DC, she moved to Chicago where she developed a passion for fitness and biking. Dani's competitive nature is no secret, whether she's trying to do yoga at all of the state capitol buildings (19 so far!) or seeing how far she can push herself in group fitness classes. By day, she nerds out behind the computer as a researcher and data analyst for a health care consulting firm, where she works to ensure all individuals have timely access to high quality health care services.
