A Fitness Gift Guide for Mother’s Day

If you know a mom who’s into fitness, Mother’s Day is a great opportunity to show her you care. Whether she is your own mother, the mother of your child or a friend who just happens to be a mom, no matter how she enjoys getting her sweat on, here are a variety of thoughtful gifts she will really appreciate. Also, she already has a yoga mat and several water bottles. It’s time to step up your gift game.

Classes at her favorite local studio

If you want to get her a gift you absolutely know she will like, a class package at her regular or favorite studio is a safe, easy choice. Whether she is into barre, spin or Pilates, every studio sells packages and there’s even a good chance they’re running a Mother’s Day sale. If you want to upgrade this gift consider a private session or perhaps a duo with you.

Massage at a local spa or gym

Everyone who works out gets sore muscles. As much as we can stretch, everyone knows nothing gets rid of those knots quite like a nice massage can. If she belongs to an upscale club such as Equinox, they may offer services on site, but any local spa will get the job done. Don’t forget to include a tip.

Subscription to AKT On Demand

Named one of the top five streaming workouts by Vogue, a subscription to AKT On Demand is a great gift for moms whose love group fitness, but perhaps don’t have the schedule flexibility to go as often as they would like. Workouts range from 10-90 minutes long and include strength training, HIIT, yoga and Pilates. Pre and postnatal workouts will be launched in the upcoming weeks, making this a great gift for moms-to-be and new moms.

On a personal note, I saw Anna Kaiser at an event when she was eight months pregnant and I was really wowed at how fit, glowing and gorgeous she was. If you’re a new mom, you might want to buy this for yourself.

Maria Shireen Hair Tie Bracelets

I love Maria Shireen’s Hair Tie Bracelets because they combine fashion and fitness. These patented bangles hold most hair elastics and come in five different finishes including gold, silver and even trendy rose gold. You can also add Swarovski charms and custom engraving.

Pop Physique Statement Barre Socks

If you know a mom who does barre, she always needs more grippy socks. I really like Pop Physique’s socks because they stay sticky (I’ve had a pair for a year and they are still going strong), are comfortable and reasonably priced. They also have clever statements on the grip such as J’Adore Barre and Plié Relevé.

Wearable tech

Sometimes, a rubber fitness tracker just won’t do, so consider these two more stylish options. The Misfit Swarovski Activity Crystal Slake Set is gorgeous, water resistant and has a battery life of up to four months. Featuring a large center crystal and a bracelet studded by smaller ones, it’s elegant and just flashy enough.

If the mom in your life prefers a more simple design, take a look at Wisewear’s Socialite Collection. These trackers are either made of palladium or 18k gold plated, track a variety of stats and have a battery life of approximately 72 hours. It also has a built-in panic button, which notifies emergency contacts of your location, making it a great choice for moms who go running or hike alone.

Tory Sport Golf Gear

Just because mom plays golf doesn’t mean she has to forgo wearing designer shoes. Tory Burch, who created everyone’s favorite iconic ballet flats has the cutest pair of golf loafers that will have all the other ladies at the club staring at her feet with envy. If the loafers aren’t quite in your budget, a stylish visor might be.

Peleton Bike

If she loves to spin, but either work or a new baby makes going to class almost impossible, a Peloton Bike is the ultimate gift. Peloton Bikes feature built-in screens allowing you to take over 4,000 classes on demand. Or you can stream up to 14 classes per day live, interact with other riders and even see where you place on the leader board. Peloton is like having a private spin studio at home.

Beloforte Activewear

Beloforte Activewear is for the mom who enters a studio like she is walking down a runway. With some of the most high fashion, stylish but completely functional activewear, anything from this line will have her looking like one hot mama. Check out the spring collection which features a variety of beautiful blush-colored pieces such as the BootyBreak 2.0 Leggings, Felicia Longsleeve Top, and the Radiance Bra. Can’t decide? Sarah Marie Design Studio Mother’s Day Collection

Sara Marie Design Studios has a Mother’s Day collection perfect for the runner with a sense of humor. Featuring affordably priced statement t-shirts, tanks and hoodies, she won’t help but laugh at statements such as “Kinda wanna go for a run. Kinda wanna stay in bed,” and “Run all the miles. Drink all the wine.”

Calm Meditation app subscription

Part of a healthy body is having a healthy mind. There isn’t one mom who couldn’t use more calm in her life. Calm is an easy to use app that includes a variety of programs, guided and unguided meditations, and even a Sleep Stories feature.
